Egads... :-|  I can't believe I am responding to a cup holder
discussion.  I believe the current American infatuation with
cup holders in cars borders on absurdity.

No, the cup holder in my A4 is no good for large cups, but
I seldom use them.  I think I have used it once, to put a paper
cup in it *while parked*.
