There are two of these bulbs, right and left. they are mounted into the
rear of the instrument cluster. not bad to replace, but you need to be
careful since their electrical contact is made directly on that mylar?
printed circuit. On my car the problem has been an overheating of the
bulb; causing the socket to distort and; hence, poor or intermittent
contact.  BTW these are the bulbs with the built in lens and when I last
checked 2-3 years ago were ~$15 at Audi.
