Says Dan Masi:-)
I'm seriously thinkin' of going this route come Spring. I was gonna do
the Dunlop D60 A2's, but all this talk of hard balancing and side wall perfs.
has scared me away. I will say that the 4 Dunlop Graspic(?) 205/60-15 snows I
just put on my '87 5kCSQ ride nicer than the 4 year old Pirelli P500's I took
off. They make a higher pitched whine than the P500's, but I can't say it's
louder. The handling is lighter and a bit crisper than the P500's...and these
are bloody snow tires??? They probably won't work in the snow:-) But, the fact
that I put them on before the first flake fell means it probably won't snow
here in Rhoda Rico(RI) this year. I believe Cape Cod, which I can practically
see from here, got snowed on all day; here it was just a cool sunny day...it's
working:-) The car appears to ride about an inch higher on these Dunlops than
it did on the same size P500's. I only got 29K out of the P500's also; they
won't see another season, and their snow abilities were nonexistent in their
third winter.
