20V STUMBLING/STALLING/ERRATIC IDLE
For a while I had a cold start situation where if I tried to pull away after
a cold
start, the car would stall or threaten to. Also, I had a somewhat erratic
idle,
in that while it was smooth, the actual idle speed would very somewhat from
time to time.
Recently, when changing the air filter, I noticed that the rubber connector
from
the filter housing/air sensor to the throttle manifold was slightly cracked
at
the air sensor end. I feel this was allowing unmeasured air to enter and
screw
up the computer finagling. Changing out the rubber air connector (approx.
$51;
part no. 893 963 563) eliinated the cold start stumbling and smoothed out the
idle.
