Cu, not Pt, for the 5k

Thanks for the replies!  Sounds like I'll stick with the coppers.... 
Before I heard anything on the list about problems with platinums, I had
mentioned to our locally renown Audi shop (Vincent Engineering) my
intention to replace the plugs with BP's, and was suprised when I was
discouraged from doing so... now I see this response is somewhat
widespread.  Funny thing that you mention problems with them fouling... I
thought a characteristic of the platinum electrode was its self-cleaning
nature (meaning they burn hotter than a standard plug in the same heat
range).  Anyway, it seems that, in many cases, the Audi five doesn't like
'em... but my 1.6 four, OTOH, *loves* 'em :)
