First trip in my A4Q

Just got back from my first longer trip in my 96 A4Q 5-speed. WOW!!! I've
taken it out for runs on the back roads a bunch, but this is the first time
I have taken it interstate driving.

While it's not the best scenario to flaunt the A4Q's capabilities, I was
quite impressed. Luckily, I did'nt impress anyone with blue flashing
lights.... It was nearly impossible to keep it under 80 mph. 100 was
achieved with ease. Cruising at 90 was like "a Sunday drive" (it is Sunday
too!). A nice machine! It made my drive very pleasurable...and a lot
shorter than usual!

Now for my questions. The engine is young, only 1054 miles old now after
the 365 mile trip. I tried to vary the rpm's during the trip as much as
possible without looking like I was falling asleep at the wheel. I cycled
it in the range from about 3200 to 4000 rpm. Is this enough variation in
the rpm's to allow for good break-in and ring seating? Should I avoid this
type of long highway driving for a bit longer? Until what milage? Any help
would be appreciated.

For now, I'm just gonna relax and muse over the wonderful driving experience
I had over the last two days---after I post my next question...
