RE: A4 grinding during tight turns
My Sube does this too...I am certainly not an expert on this, but I
believe it is a binding noise coming from the all wheel drivetrain. I
had read that the quattro system wasn't as prone to noises such as this,
but your experience seems to suggest that it is common to any AWD
system.

Hello again,
Since my recent post on first impressions on my '97 A4Q 2.8, I have one
more
question. When turning very tightly (the wheel turned all the way, when
parking for instance), at low speeds, there is a loud grinding/rumbling
sound. I can't tell if it's something with the quattro, or the wheels
scrubbing on the ground from the strong lateral forces that the tires
endure
during such a turn. If anyone else has this happen, please let me know.
