Re: S4 Wastgate noise

I have been getting this noise ever since putting in Charlie's spring.
I think it due to the stiff spring, and not having the proper damping
for it. This causes oscillations as the wastegate diaphram returns to
its resting position (preloaded by the spring). I have been wondering
if that would cause early failure of the diaphram, and if I should
look into damping the spring somehow. Is there another port on the
wastgate that is unused, that I could restrict the airflow from? If I
could restrict the airflow to/from one of those chambers, it would
lengthen the time constant for that system. Thoughts??
