  I'd have to agree 100% with this assessment based on my own experience
  with
  different platinum plugs (single vs. triple electrode) and freeway miles.
  I've found
  that single electrode platinum plugs suffer at least 50-70% more erosion
  of the
  gap/time as originally set than triple electrodes.  I drive about 80%
  freeway miles
  and do about 40-45K miles a year.  The triple electrodes seem to stand up
  much better (longer) in an un-modified non-turbo engine.
