Dave and Fred also responded similarly.

Thanks guys. It was the idling screw and not the air mixture screw I was
referring to.  Haynes implies they go hand in hand and even shows a picture
of the idling screw plugged up.

I will get the o-ring today, and I'm also shopping for an O2 sensor.  And
yes Bentley for Xmas sounds like a great idea.
