Re: Speeding Ticket Any hope?
When I went to college in Worcester I remember MA having the option of
taking a *Drivers Education* course in lieu of paying the ticket. I
believe the cost of the course was about $20 and lasted about 4 hrs.
The best part is you got to play with some pretty realistic simulators
that gave a pretty good sensation of braking and turning, and that was
14 yrs ago. If you took the course the state would dismiss your ticket.
Needless to say I participated a couple of times. Don't know if they
still offer this but it might be worth checking on with your local court
house. Of course if they still offer it the cost is probably $100 by
now but you don't have any points on your license or insurance
surcharges. Good luck.

Subject: Speeding Ticket: Any hope?
I just got a ticket in my 1 week old A4Q, bummer! 50 in a 35 mph zone;
$100
and a raise in insurance. On the ticket, the boxes RADAR and ESTIMATED
are
checked off. I believe he was driving towards me as he clocked me which
makes me believe he estimated his own speed and subtracted it from the
radar
reading. My crappy BEL radar detector sounded only as I was passing
him..too
late.
I live in MASS. Is there any hope of winning a hearing? Does anyone have
any
tips on getting off of this one?
Thanks in advance. Time to call up Mr. Valentine.
