Re: 200q stumbling

Well, after removing the hoses from the airbox to turbo, turbo to
intercooler, and intercooler to throttle body. I can find nothing wrong. I
can not get the car to not stumble over 1.2 bar. I took it for another
drive and put my foot down hard at 60 MPH and I did see 1.4 bar but it was
stumbling and running like sh*t. As soon as I eased off the throttle, got
to about half throttle or less. The car picked up like regular. Although
not full boost acceleration. I am lost without a Bentley. I will try to
pinch off the hose to the ECU and see if I get more power. Hopefully I wont
make matters worse.

That sounds exactly like what my car did until I replaced the spark
plugs. Had done the cap and wires ($350 YOW!) to no effect. Pulled
the plugs and found some NGK model in there with a 0.048" gap (vs
0.028" spec'd). Replaced plugs with Bosch F5DPOR's (Blaufernugen
$16/ea) and the problem disappeared.
FYI, you can check the plug wires resistance. Bentley says that the
wires are about 1000 ohm each, and the boot (removable from wire) is
about 1000 ohm (I'm working from memory here). Don't forget the coil
to distributor wire too.
Good hunting.
