I'm having a problem finding the correct replacement for the pass. side
front
outer tie rod end, on my 87 5kcsTQ. A few months ago I had no problem
obtaining the dr. side one. My mechanic tells me the end I just got for the
pass. side has threads (about 14mm) that are too large. He then tried to
obtain one with smaller threads (about 12mm) but claims he could only obtain
 the entire assembly.
Are the ends different on the non-Qs? Perhaps a non-Q rod is in there?
Perhaps the entire rod was replaced with an aftermarket brand using larger
 threads? Any ideas? >>
My understanding is that all 86-91 10vt are 12mm from the factory, you might
have the one from the 200q/v8 with UFO brakes, but the config is different.
You should have no problem with the 87 application, BTDT quit a few times...
A commonly available part... Give me a post if you can't find them, I stock
them...
