Re: Tornado Red Uni-Color Paint
In a message dated 96-11-30 06:03:26 EST, you write:

I'd be tempted to suspect dissolved or suspended solids (such as calcium
salts)
in the _water_.
Have you tried de-ionised or distilled water in the washers?

I was told by the dealer that this was oxidation. Even when I use the
washers in a downpour, they leave long streaks. Even after one use.
I'll try the DI or distilled water. At this point I'll try anything. I
won't try dishwashing detergent though. Any car show will tell you that
using dishwashing detergent to wash your car removes the wax.
I've heard alot from others with the same problem. This uni-color paint was
only done with a few colors. Basically non-metalic colors. I'm considering
painting another coat of paint over the original, then a coat of clear coat.
Shops are hesitant to just put a coat of clear coat over the existing paint.
If the white streaks bleed through after the clear coat is on, there will be
no way of removing them.
Thanks for your help anyways.
