Prestone (?) markets a "washer fluid/antifreeze" in the US. It's about $3 a 
gallon (compared to $1 for the blue stuff). According to the ad copy on the 
bottle, it's (naturally) "far superior to regular fluids." I don't know 
what it is made of or how it works. I've seen it at Wal-Mart, Auto Palace 
and others. It may be worth a look . . .
