clutch click

I've had the same clutch click problem in my 87 Quantum.  Like others,
a spray of lube would take care of it for a while, then the two-piece
plactic clutch pedal mechanism (there's a better description posted
earlier by another lister) eventually broke.  It's easy to change if you
don't mind lying on your back under the dash, and have strong fingers to 
compress the spring (in other words it's a PITA).  Another thing, by reaching
under there, you can sometimes rotate the spring which seems to get rid
of the click for a while.
