or you could simply wirewrap and adapter that did the same thing.
typical
ways to 'scramble' the info is to swap address or data lines... I
wouldn't
want to subject _my_ ECU to more than one cycle of de-soldering - too
easy
to lift traces... we've got a _very_ expensive de-soldering station here
and I would be fairly reluctant to do it myself.

there's a company I know of that would do it as a lot I'm sure - they do
a lot of prototyping for us.
