Fuel Injection Book
I wandered idly into the automotive engineering section of Foyles bookshop on
London's Charing Cross Road on Friday, and asked if they could recommend a good
basic book on Bosch fuel injection.
The assistant didn't even look up. "Second aisle, first bay, second shelf.
Lying down in a stack of ten."
It turns out to be the Bentley "Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management"
recommended before now by list members. It seems (after a few hours' reading)
to be an excellent basic primer in the theory and operation of these systems.
It has a heavy US bias, but the chapter on "basic" K-Jetronic is applicable to
all 10v models of the ur-quattro sold in the UK, and I would guess the "lambda"
chapters apply to the urq 20v.
So, for UK-based list members, the Bentley book is also available here. Cost
is GBP21.95 - get it for Christmas.
