As was already mentioned by at least one other person on the list:  If there's
lots of water/moisture in the car, the foggy window syndrome will be worse.  If
you run on "auto" on a cold day the system will direct air towards the
footwells; bringing that warm, moist air up to the cold windows.  Check your
floormats for moisture/dampness.  If you track water into the carpets, remove
them at the end of the day or on the weekends or something.  Put in rubber ones
for the winter.

Phil Payne was very close on the rear fog:  Nebelschlusslicht -- with "l" = rear
fog light.
