Stephen,

The VR6 would be a dificult swap. First, the bell housing is different 
from the regular VW/Audi 4/5 cylinder bolt pattern. Second, there's no 
oil pan/pump that will allow mounting the VR into an audi inline chassis.

Maybe a 200QT 20V motor would work? Does it have the correct intake? 
Anybody know??

You can try calling Rally Motorsport in NewJersey, the owner there has 90 
20v turbo sedan he put together.
