tie rod remove and replace

Just found out I have to pull my right tie rod, take it apart in a vise and
never seize it, before I can have a front end alignment completely done. 
Actually I'll do it with one from my parts car.  Advice please?  Any other
parts I'll need to replace?  Special tools?  Thanks in advance.
