Handling Woes 85 ur-quattro
Have just purchased my first ever quattro..a 1985 coupe...very nice..
Having read for years about the wonder handling of these cars I am
perplexed to find this car has a strong tendency to oversteer when
pushed moderately hard..This problem is in steady state cornering at
reasonable speeds and even in slow tight corners or on roundabouts...
Where do I start to solve this unquattro like characteristic?????
All four tires are near new....shocks and springs seem fine..
Im not inducing this problem with ham fisted use of throttle and in any
case I thought quattros were sposed to be good at coping with that ?
Even my old Rover V8 powered Datsun 260Z felt more secure in the
corners..!
Any suggestions??
Steve:)
