It's kind of funny but here in Canada all 4000 with "s" (4000s) come
with 5-cyl engines. 4000 without "s" came with 4-cyl engines.
BTW all 4000s came all loaded with all the options (power w,l, air
cond, sun roof, etc, etc). Both of my friends have 4000's.
One is an 83 4000s with all the toys and 110 hp 5-cyl (no cat in
Canada). the other one is an 85 also 4000s with all the toys and
5-cyl 110 2.22 engine (with a cat after 84).
It looks like the best bet is to get one here since it looks like
most of them came with 5-cyl. Also prices are way cheaper here.
The 83 was bought for $400CDN, the 85 for $1300CDN, My Coupe for
$500CDN and my quattro for $900CDN. My other friends 84 4kq for
$600CDN. From what I see people are asking for their cars on the
list it feels like cars in US are way overpriced.
Later.
