Re: 97 A4 Motion Sensors/Audi Telephone pin-outs/Seat Comfort
Bob,
Both of these questions have been addressed extensively in the
past, so you might check the archives. In case no one's answered
yet (I'm just starting in on the weekend mail pileup), here's
a brief answer:

Most A4 owners seem to have the same problem. The "theory" is
that the motion sensors adjust their sensitivity during that
first 30 seconds (fast blinking light), and that if you're in
the car, they detect a bit of motion during that time and
desensitize. Same thing with open windows. This would imply that
the only way to really test the system would be to smash a window,
or put a jack-in-the-box in the car (if anyone has one, can I
borrow it? :-) ). Personally, I don't buy it, and think that they
just don't work well.

If you've got a Motorola transceiver in the trunk, yes. It's
supposedly wired for a Motorola phone. The RJ45 is wired back to
a DB-25 connector that is hidden away in your trunk, near the CD
cable (if you want to get to it, it's tied down on top of the
left wheel well, under the trunk lining).
