Hi, I had a customer with a V-8 last year with the same problem. First we
checked all the obvious like what you stated and all looked good. We heard of
frt. wheel brg. shift and loose bolts here or there but this was a new one
for us.We found that the cap that retains the strut insert was a bit loose
causing the cartridge to shift and make that noise so be sure to check
them.....
