Re: If it wasn't a Quattro....

Having repaired, bought, sold, modified, and driven quite a few Audi
Q's and non-Q's,
and having the opertunity to drive a MWB 325ix, Mercedes 4 matic,
Mitsu' Lancer, and several other 4weedee types, I would have to arrive
at the conclusion that the
Audi Q system is (my opinion) the better Engineered drive train!
Especially for
Longevity, and ease of repair. However, as with my GMC truck, I feel
there
are only certain areas of the country where you would "need" the 4wd
system.

Having lived in the southern regions of the US most of my existance, I
have had no need for the 4wd, except in tossing one around a track!
All the Q's I have owned, I have sold to people who took them up
north! My Fwd gets me around town just fine here in Flordia!

On the occasion when I was in "need" of the Q system, It worked as
advertised!
However a driver needs to be "skilled" in its proper use!

A Quattro has its own unique charecteristics that seperate it from the
rest of the crowd! Owning one is considered to be "status symbol"!
