Which I5's did you work on? My 100Q is a snap. Don't need to jack up
the car or undo anything. Just slide underneath, open the valve (or
undo the plug), drain, unscrew the filter, and replace. Voila!

Angela's 90Q20V on the other hand, is such a pain I'll pay others
to do it.

As for filters, go talk to a local foreign parts place. I get Mahle
OEM filters for about $5 each from mine, instead of $15 from the dealer.
If you don't have such a place, call Imparts.
