Parts Fiche, digital on PC

I have the ALLDATA CDROM, with both the Technical Service Bulletins and the
Service info for my 93 100CSQ. The service info is poor and often leads you
back to the TSB which is frustrating if you haven't paid for it yet. If you
want explainations, forget it. Nothing like the VW manual's that are very
comprehensive, explaining WHY things are done, the way they are. Electrical
diagrams and sketches are bitmaped (scanned) right out of the original
manual. These have to be printed to make sense out of them, or to use.

The TSB is great IF you have a documented problem. Example: A/C Control
Head On-Board Diagnostic Display, documentation is great for the
hackers..... etc.

For the car enthusiast, being able to compare a couple of later model years
without the full subscription price would be a bonus, but is not offered.

I'd still buy a paper based manual if I could find one (once my warranty
expires).
