WTB 5000QT Distributor

 HELP!!  
 
      After many hours of attempting to get the money pit going,  (
Intermittant spark ) I pulled the distributor and low and behold it goes on a
1988 5000 with the normally aspirated NF engine... Now my questions are:
 
 1.  What is the difference between the NF Distributor and a MC Distributor??
 2.  Will a NF Dist work in place with the MC Dist??  ( do I need to blame
another component instead of the distributor?)
 3.  Does anyone out there have a MC Dist with prt no. 035-905-206-AF??
