I'm sure you've already gotten a bunch of replies to this
oft-discussed topic.  I'll just say two things here:

1) I'm not sure, but the dealer may be confused.  Are you
   sure he said they can install the Bose system, and doesn't
   think that you're talking about the CD changer?  I'm
   surprised that they'd be willing to swap a Bose system
   out of one car and put it in another.

2) If you haven't done so already, go to the dealer and ask
   to be let into two A4s, one with and one without the Bose
   system installed.  Bring a tape that you're familiar with.
   Listen carefully before deciding to plop down that chunk
   of change.  Everyone has different tastes, but in my
   own personal opinion, the Bose system leaves a lot to be
   desired... in fact, if it were a no-cost option, I might
   still choose the "base" system.  (The head unit is the same,
   only the speakers/amps change).
