On my '90 90Q20V, it was not the cat heat shield, but a small
heat shield that surronds a length of the exhaust downpipe from
the manifold. This length went by some cables that needed extra
heat protection.

I just squeezed it with my hands (COLD!!!!) until it stopped rattling.
