RE: FS: 1990 Coupe Quattro
I just got back from looking at the car listed below, and here is an
update:
1. The paint is OK, it has obviously been driven a lot so there were
some gravel nicks that had been touched up on the hood. The paint on
the rear bumper is fading just a little bit, and it also looks like the
bumper got quite a few scratches on the bottom right rear corner like it
was backed into something. Other than this the body and paint are fine.
2. The interior in the car is immaculate. Everything works, no dirt
whatsoever. Leather is in excellent shape.
3. Drove the car, since there was still some snow on the roads, got to
drive on some snow and ice, and the car runs absolutely smooth and
handles excellently. The owner has ALL the service records for the car,
and the timing belt was just replaced. Tranny is super-tight and
smooth. After driving this car I got back in my 5000TQ w/180K miles on
it, and now it feels like a piece of *?#$!
The lady that owns it just bought a brand new A4Q (still has dealer
plates on it), and wants to get rid of this car pretty badly. She does
not drive it anymore, it just sits in her garage. It has been
advertised since Xmas. After looking up wholesale blue book on the car
I would offer $8K - $8500.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will set you up to talk with
her.
