RE: Used A4 Prices

Hopefully, this is not repeat info...but are you or your bank-CU-insurance
company aware of a book known as the CPI Book?
The CPI Book is short for Cars of Particular Interest Book. It may not
include the "Q" in question, but I've found it helpful. I have financed
two cars with a credit union that used this book. The first car I bought
about 7 years ago. Details on how I did it:

I was able to finance 75% of $8,000 on a 1967 SS/RS 350 Camaro coupe which
is still in my possesion....
They looked up the approximate value in the CPI book.
I documented the conditon via a licensed appraiser: about $75
I provided photographs for their file.
I provided copies of data from the "Standard American Cars" handbook
to coincide with the data on the car.
Basically, I put together a nearly irrefutable folder of value...and
then I got an insurance binder for a value of $10,000
       from a specialty insurer.
I borrowed the down from my then fiance.....she's gone...I still have
and love the car.

I accomplished the same with a $12,000 1970 Pontiac Judge with RAIII......
That car and the fiance are still gone...years later I only regret the
loss of the Judge.
