I had to replace mine 8 months ago, the temp gauge was working only 50% of
the time.  It is on the under side of the coolant hose going into the engine,
uses a 17mm wrench or higher I think.....Good luck, it is really hard to get
a wrench to move in such a tight spot, took me a little while!
