Treser Roadsters, Coupe CT cabrio, Audi minivan
Yes, I have the Road and Track Audi Summary which features the Treser UrQ car
also, I thought it was ugly as sin! Also, do any of you remember Treser's
Roadster? It was based on the Golf platform and was small 2 seat roadster
with similar design roof as his UrQ roadster; hard top that swung into the
back seat area. It was very interesting looking, shared no resemblence with
an Audi or VW. I think Car & Driver said it looked like a door stop on
steroids! I don't think he ever got it off the ground, but he had several
running cars that all the mags were testing.
I also have an article on the Aude GT Cabrio from 1986 by ASC for Audi. Audi
hired ASC to do this as a design study. It looked wonderful--top up or down
(better looking than the current cabrio). Audi decided not to build it after
all (damn them, why do they cancel the cool ideas?), I think that they were
only planning on building it from 1987-1990, and that it would not be worth
the start up for such a short production run.
Anyone remember the Audi Minivan from the late 80s??? I have a picture of it
with some figures, based on the 80/90, looked cool, the only grill inlet was
the inside of the 4 rings on the front. I agree with them this time for
canceling it, they could see that there were too many minivans already in the
market. An Audi minivan would not have interested me one bit.......But it
would sure be more reliable than Dave Head's Caravan.......he goes through
transmissions like they were tires!
