If your car is a 5K I have temporarily fixed the problem with a
carefully engineeried wad of paper.  Roll a wad of paper up and stick
it under the turn signal stalk to hold the stalk back in the dim
position.  This requires some engineering expertise and a little
trial and error to get the precise size of wad required. Once you
have mastered this delicate process you can get the wad the correct
size where the bright lights will even stay on with a little push on
the stalk and go off with a little pull!!!!
