Audi vs Olds.

All this talk of how long the Audi engines last has brought back a memory
for me.  It was last year at pro and i was out with my girlfriend in my 85
Coupe and also my friend in his 92 Olds Cutlas Supreme (with hte
"international" suspensin no less).  And i had been bragging to him about
how i could outhandle him and such.  Well that night i did outhandle him
very easily, but that is not why i laugh when i hear this story.  Also that
night on the way home, we were racing on the golden gate bridge.  This was
a completely power based race, to see who was the fastest.  Well, I was
until about 85 mph when i wa stupid enough to think that he had given up
and i shifted into fifth, then he "slowly" started gaining.  Anyway, he
gave up about 95 and we slowed down.  But the funny thing is that that
night afterward, we were taling about it and he said that "yup, those
europeans sure do know how to make cars, but after 100,000 miles, they jsut
arent the same"  All this time i was thinking, you know, i feel the same
about american cars.  But maybe that is jsut me.
