The way all Asian manufacturers have worked: introduce the low cost product,
build a market share and they will move up-market. Although we love our
Audi's quirks and foibles - this reputation along with the "UA" game
(followed by AoA's utter PR failure) destroyed their market share. They have
to rebuild from the ground up here. At least they haven't gone the way of
Lancia, Fiat, Puegot, etc, etc...
