CD Changer Question

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me:
I just bought a 1994 Audi 100 CSQ 5-speed (to replace my 88 5000 CSTQ)
with a factory 10-disc CD Changer.  Unfortunately, the CD magazine (the
cartridge that holds the CDs) was missing.  The dealership wants to charge
me $70 plus shipping, so I took it to a bunch of stereo shops trying to
identify the manufacturer so as to find an off-the-shelf magazine.  One
salesperson finally identified it as an "old Sony 10-disc"; we tried the
magazine; it seemed to work for a few seconds, and then stopped working
(all I hear now is a repetitive "click" on the sound system when I play a
CD)...I'm trying to determine if the problem is the CD changer not being
what we thought it was (i.e., I stupidly damaged it) or if the CD changer
is simply not a Sony 10-disc...I hope someone out there can help me out!
