Stero (and speaker?) upgrade on 91 200q wagon

I put a Clarion in-dash CD receiver in my 91 200q wagon last night and
found 2 things:

*	There's no dimmer circuit on the Clarion, so its lights are always on,
regardless of ignition, other lights etc. Too bad, apparently.

*	The rear speakers sound so much richer than the fronts (4 in back, 2
in front in the dash - it's a wagon, remember) that I'm now thinking of
upgrading the front speakers. I though a little bit about it and a few
options come to mind:
*	Install better units in the dash in the current locations.
*	As above, but add tweeters in the A pillar.
*	As #1, but add something in the doors, using the sedan's door panels
(which is where its speakers are).

Has anybody done anything like this to a 100/200 wagon? Just curious as
to this and other experiences with upgrading speakers.
