Absolutely.  You should be scared if your oil never gets
up to 220F!  It needs to be at least that hot for prolonged
periods once in a while, to get rid of moisture.

FWIW, my A4 typically runs with the coolant gauge dead
centered, and the oil temp in the summer will run about 240-250.
In the winter, I think it's running about 230, but it takes
a good long time to get there.
