After shopping and driving A4Q vs Mercedes vs BMW vs Volvo vs Saab my 
wife and I bought a 96 A4Q loaded except for skisack/phone/cd for 
$31500. Best value, best all around car (interior/exterior) and for us 
midwestern folks it beats the a** out of a Bimmer and Mercedes in the 
snow (love those heated seats). Had the car from September and in the 
below 0F weather of the past two weeks it has been flawless and the 
commute to work through the snow has been a dream (except for the other 
drivers in 2wd's :-) ). 

Our first Audi (I have a Toyoto Supra Turbo) and I am VERY impressed.

Also, we have the B-Pillar rattle occasionally (I just moved the Seat 
belt height adjustment up and down a few times and it seemed to go 
away!!??). However, will mention to the dealer when we take it in for 
first scheduled maint. in Feb. 

P.S. I put new filter and Mobil 1 in the car myself after first 1000 
miles. IMHO, with weather conditions here I think this is a good idea 
Have used it in my Toyota Supra Turbo since 1988 with no maint. probs.
