true to a point, if the prism was "under designed" more power "might"
improve your light" but if the design is good more power is not necessarily
an improvement especially in the case of headlights, fog lights, driving
lights (a separate argument can be made for spot lights)

100% correct
I will expand by saying, in a complex design lens (such as headlight,
driving lights, "Euro lights" fog lights) you can't just put in more
"wattage" and expect to get a liner increase, you will not! (exception
here, most of the time!)
