Wrecked V8

$10,500 is a little rich, even if it has good title. At auction
I have watched V8's sell [with more damage than described here] for less
than Shokan will charge you for the motor alone. Same is true on most
Audi's.
Good rule of thumb is to call a dealership and price the parts
new. Take this price, plus labor to fix, and then add $1-2k [for misc.
problems the car will most likely have] and add all of this to price you
can buy the car for. If you like the number, get the car. If not,
don't. Remember, wrecks are like buses, if you are standing in the right
place another one comes along every 15 minutes. This is not the place to
fall in love with a car:) Also, when buying a rebuildable from a
"retail" operation, always try to get the parts to fix as a part of the
purchase price. If they don't have'em in stock--you just found your
bargaining tool.
