'84 ur-q in Denver ?
(Sorry for the re-send. It looked incomplete when I received it.)
There is an '84 TQC for sale in Denver that I am looking into.
While I would prefer an '85 ur-q to match my '85 Coupe, the likelihood
of finding an affordable one seems slim. The '84 seems like the next
best opportunity. So, I have a few questions:
Is there anything particularly different about the '84 ur from other
model years?
Is there anything I should look out for, with reference to Denver existence?
(e.g. lots of salty winters = potential rust problems?)
The owner says the car has been maintained by Prestige Audi in
Lakewood, CO. Any one know the reputation of this place?
I assume the later the car build date, the better, to get ahold of the
improvements (like the under-hood fuse box). What would a rough starting
point for an '84 be (original paint in so-so condition, 2 sets of wheels,
120K miles, never wrecked, IA Stage I (no spring?))? Jeff, did you
mention you paid $8500 for your recent '85 acquisition?
Finally, is there a lister in Denver who may be able to look at this car,
or refer me to a reputable shop that I can talk with (should I just call
Prestige Audi?)??
Thanks,
Eric
