oil drain valve for V-6

My experience:

I ordered an oil drain valve from Imparts for my '93 90q. The first time, I 
just told them "1993 Audi 90 quattro", and they sent me one for the I5 
engine. Next time, I ordered by size (26mm) and was happy to see that the 
threads fit, but quickly realized that it was impossible to tighten it 
because of interference between the "mating flange" of the oil pan and the 
valve lever housing. So it's back to washers and drain bolts again. 

Has anyone found an oil drain valve that fits the V-6? Evidently there are 
two bolt sizes for the V-6, because I need to specify the year of the car 
when getting washers. I forgot to do this once and got a washer that was much 
larger than the I5, but a bit too small for my V-6.
