Hi Brian,

Sorry, no help here.  But I have exactly the same problem, after installing
an after market amp for the rear speakers (Blaupunkt BSA 60). The existing
radio is a Blaupunkt Lexington SQR 48.  Now, one would think that this
would be a perfect mach, but no.  I get  a fair amount of engine/alternator
whine.  I've tried all the tricks and suggestions from the list to no
avail.
I wish you luck, and if you find a cure, pleaase let me know.

BTW, does anyone know if the rear speakers in the rear doors of my 86
5kttqw ar amplified??
