Brakes

I've just had the Audi garage on the phone telling me my car is ready, 
but they also mentioned something about a pump on the brakes not working.
Apparantly there is a little electric motor that keeps your brakes 
working on a urq in the event of your engine failing (such as a belt 
breaking). Ive never heard of this, but I suppose it must be true, so 
does anyone happen to know where this motor lives so I can have a quick 
shufty at it to see if its just a loose wire?
