 I think your are right.! I HAD the same problem on my 4kq. The reason I
had it was that I tried to used a normal hose over the banjo fitting
with a hose clamp. Oh it worked but I did get some air in the line from
the fit. So with NEW hoses the problem went away. 

 Find the air leak and that your fix.
