the 30V V6 uses a timing chain? Replacing a belt in my 100CSQ is
trivial (lot's 'o room), replacing the belt in an A4 looks like a daunting
task. It would be nice if one didn't have to do it at all...

Try it on a V-8! Not too bad, really. The V-8 has a serpentine cogged belt
that drives the two exhaust cam sprockets, each of which in turn drives (via
chain) the intake cams. Does anyone know recommended service interval for
these? I know the drive belt sugg replacement (which I just did last summer)
is now 60k miles instead of 90k miles.
